Person On the Street Interviews

 Good Day classmates, friends, or daily stalker? Within our "Basic Television Production" class, our assignment was to find a trending topic about campus or surrounding Orangeburg; in addition to interviewing five other people to get their personal opinions on the topic. I chose a topic that we all should know about.. SC State's housing crisis. Year after year, SC State's upperclassman are facing great challenges with being housed. The university has stated that they are resolving the matter by building more dormitory halls to house their incoming freshmen, but most importantly their upperclassmen. President Alexander Conyers has been the spokesmen for the University, and claims that there will be more housing projects such as the renovations of Truth Hall, Phase two of Queens Village Apartments, and a brand new coed dorm being built beside Mitchell Hall Basketball Courts. Thus, leading to more available rooms for students new and returning. The interviews gave me various point of views and opened my mind to the many challenges that upperclassmen have faced every year for housing. Me in 30 Seconds

     

        Good day classmates, friends, or daily stalker??? My name is Shamari Blanding and within this assignment, my classmates and I were told to create a 30 second video introducing ourselves. Yes, the video had to be 30 seconds or very close to it! I only had to do a couple re-takes in order to fully reach 30 seconds, but overall; I had fun! I learned how to be ready for any interviews, content creation, or any live streams at any given moment. I believe if I continue to practice this method of being able to wrap up a story in all kinds of time frames; will take me further within my career in broadcasting.

Within the second video, my classmates and I were told to add background music and text which says our names and "SC State" under it. This adds onto my knowledge about "lower-thirds."
